Halloween’s Here! Do You Have Your Costume?
Trick or treating, costume parties, and masquerades are just around the corner! Yes, that’s right folks. Halloween is almost here. Have you decided what you’ll be?
Some inspiration for those in need: you can opt for the traditional Halloween costume of something terrifying. Ghosts, Frankensteins, and monsters are always classic. Or you can do something more like Heath Ledger’s The Joker or the killers from Strangers. Perhaps you want to create your own scary costume, combining Elvira’s spider-web covered, black hair with vampire fangs. Or a blood-splattered tuxedo with a hideous mask. Really, the options are endless.
Going as a couple? Look to famous duos in cinema history. For example, Bonnie and Clyde always make for a dynamic duo, and a great era to wear clothes
Where There’s a Will There’s a Way: Jewelry for the Whole Body

We as a species have always been fascinated with jewelry—or more specifically, the shiny stones that we fashion into jewelry—so it’s no surprise really that we went from simple necklaces and earrings to jewelry for every part of the body. Or just about.
There’s a part of me that wishes I’d been gutsy enough to get my belly button or eyebrow pierced back in the day, but considering that requires constant crunches and a certain shape of face to pull off, I know I would’ve gotten lazy. And if I had a pretty belly button ring collection I would feel obligated to show it off, and well—the thought isn’t pretty!
That’s not to say that body piercings on the whole aren’t appealing. In fact, some of my very good friends have the perfect bodies or faces to pull off some of the more
Celebrate (Anti) Youth: National Grandparents Day
Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, your birthday . . .

There are plenty of let’s-celebrate-you-at-whatever-stage-in-life holidays, so why not Grandparents Day? It’s perfectly logical, but until recently I didn’t realize there actually is a Grandparents Day—and it’s coming up on September 12th!
To be honest, I wish I had known about this holiday a long time ago. You see, my last living grandparent died just a few weeks ago.
Don’t worry: I promise I won’t make this a depressing read, but the storybook moral is this: take advantage of the time you have left with your grandparents, and if you spoil them with just an ounce of the affection they’ve shown you over the years, they’ll appreciate you all the more.
I know if I were putting something together for my recently deceased
Education Online: Not Such an Anomaly Anymore

Like most things we enjoy these days—shopping, gaming, socializing—there’s an online counterpart. The same goes for education.
Of course for quite some time now there have been online components of classwork—various assignments, research, collaboration and the like—but nothing like today’s world where entire degrees can be completed online. While perhaps not quite as legitimate as a university degree, I think it’s only a matter of time before it becomes more of a norm to complete a large part of an advanced degree remotely.
And why shouldn’t it be? Most online classes now allow its students to connect online to live lectures and interact similarly to how we spend our leisure time on features like Skype. I remember seeing some science fiction movie featured on the Disney
Hello September, Meet Fall Fashion

I never used to be all that into fashion, and I admit, I’m still not looking to sport the kind of styles coming down the runway. I get that it’s high art, but it’s not wearable to me. On the other hand, everyday comfortable fashion? Sign me up!
It must’ve been studying abroad in Paris or the fact that now I live in LA, but keeping up with the latest trends is kind of—dare I say—fun? I’m not as effortlessly chic as some women, but that doesn’t mean I can’t have fun trying.
Probably the best time of year for fashion, in my humble opinion, is right now. I love Fall as a season, and the colors and textures make me feel instantly cozy. It doesn’t hurt that there’s some incredible Fall sales starting up, either! And because Fall fashion season is putting me in such a good
