Where There’s a Will There’s a Way: Jewelry for the Whole Body

We as a species have always been fascinated with jewelry—or more specifically, the shiny stones that we fashion into jewelry—so it’s no surprise really that we went from simple necklaces and earrings to jewelry for every part of the body. Or just about.
There’s a part of me that wishes I’d been gutsy enough to get my belly button or eyebrow pierced back in the day, but considering that requires constant crunches and a certain shape of face to pull off, I know I would’ve gotten lazy. And if I had a pretty belly button ring collection I would feel obligated to show it off, and well—the thought isn’t pretty!
That’s not to say that body piercings on the whole aren’t appealing. In fact, some of my very good friends have the perfect bodies or faces to pull off some of the more
Hello September, Meet Fall Fashion

I never used to be all that into fashion, and I admit, I’m still not looking to sport the kind of styles coming down the runway. I get that it’s high art, but it’s not wearable to me. On the other hand, everyday comfortable fashion? Sign me up!
It must’ve been studying abroad in Paris or the fact that now I live in LA, but keeping up with the latest trends is kind of—dare I say—fun? I’m not as effortlessly chic as some women, but that doesn’t mean I can’t have fun trying.
Probably the best time of year for fashion, in my humble opinion, is right now. I love Fall as a season, and the colors and textures make me feel instantly cozy. It doesn’t hurt that there’s some incredible Fall sales starting up, either! And because Fall fashion season is putting me in such a good
PJ’s All Darn Day!
You know how every neighborhood has a “cat lady”? You know, the lady who has an inordinate number of mewing, stinky cats running in and out of her house? Her hair is usually disheveled, she is usually over the age of 60, and you can smell the litterboxes from about a block up. Well in my old neighborhood, I used to be the dog-walking leopard-robe lady. Back then I worked from home, and so I had no reason to get out of my admittedly garish robe all day, since no one was going to be seeing me. I’d take my dog for her morning walk alongside people entering and exiting the building in their proper work attire, and get a few humored glances here and there. To boot, much like the cat lady, my sassy-when-styled bob was not quaffed for a night out, and often stuck up on the side I
Hatley Puns Its Way to Success
A highlight of my job here at 58Coupons is reading the “About Us” section for the stores on our sites. It’s something I never thought to do as a consumer, but I’ve found that a lot of stores have some really interesting beginnings. Stores I wouldn’t normally pay much attention to suddenly beckon me to their website with their unique story of success. I can’t help it—I’m a sucker for a good story.
Hatley is no exception. Upon first glance, Hatley appears to be like any other clothing store. With tees and loungewear for women, men, and children, Hatley obviously specializes in fashionable, comfortable clothing. But with closer inspection, it’s clear that Hatley doesn’t take itself too seriously. I actually “LOL’d” when I found the “Nice Bass” boxers,
Fashionista Style on a Recessionista Budget
Summertime conjures up a lot of similar images for people: lying on the beach, BBQ parties, vacations. It’s the season of warmth, fun and—you guessed it—weddings.
This summer I’m slated to go to three weddings, and thankfully this year I’m only in one of them. Don’t get me wrong, weddings are great. But being in three out of five weddings in one summer gets to be a bit much. Never again.
The wedding I’m a bridesmaid for also happens to be the one I’m most excited about. It’s for my best friend since practically birth, and she’s marrying her high school sweetheart. Normally I’m skeptical of those unions too, but these two were made for each other. They’re the kind of couple you want to be annoyed or grossed out by, but you just can’t because they’re so in love and so
