Babies Never Had It So Good

First of all, I am nowhere near ready to have children of my own.  No husband, no boyfriend, no desire—as of yet.  But that doesn’t stop me from crooning over someone’s newborn, waving at the cute toddler sitting in the opposite booth at a restaurant, or spoiling my friends’ and older cousins’ children rotten!

Without completely dating myself, let’s just say that I’m a twentysomething who’s still pinching herself every time someone she knows gets engaged, much less has a kid.

With that said, one of my sorority sisters very recently got married and gave birth to an adorable baby boy.  After recovering from my initial shock—this is a girl I used to get into all kinds of college shenanigans with, mind you—I realized that this is not only something I have to get used to, it’s something I actually kind of want to get used to.

In a few weeks I’ll be meeting up with some of my closest sorority sisters—including the new mama—and I can’t wait to meet her handsome little boy Adam.  (And as I mentioned before, spoil him rotten!)
