This Summer, Let’s Bike Away Our Worries
I live in a city filled with cars. Driving is really the only way to get anywhere in Los Angeles. Sure, we’ve got public transportation, but there’s definitely a risk factor if you choose to use it. And walking is absolutely out of the question. But every once in a while, you get to witness a miracle.
A miracle that is someone riding a bicycle.
Sure, it sounds silly. It sounds absolutely absurd. How is it that the most efficient means of travel has become so outdated? It’s become an activity rather than a way to get from point A to point B. But I can’t help thinking, with the summer here and all, why not embrace the one thing that nobody ever forgets how to do? Let’s relive a bit of our childhood and reignite that sense of carefree excitement! After all, who says only kids get to ride bikes?
Now it’s just a matter of finding the right bicycle for you, and that can be quite a hard choice to make. Since I’m no expert, the best advice I have for you is to check out Bike.com. As its name hints, Bike.com is your source for everything bicycle. You’ll find bikes, frames, helmets, shoes, clothing—literally anything you might need to ride and maintain a bike. Plus, you can chat with one of the online specialists to figure out what bike best fits your needs.
Of course, you do have some other options out there. Bob’s Bicycles (a favorite of mine due to the alliteration factor) offers some great deals on just about every bicycle imaginable. In fact, I’m a sucker for the tandem bike, which Bob just so happens to sell. If you’ve never tried this amazing contraption, you should definitely give it a shot. It’s quite a rush and a great way to better your friendship or relationship with someone since it requires a lot of trust and communication.
If you’re more of a solo traveler, you can stop on by the Commuter Bike Store. Like the other two, CBS has a wide variety of bicycles and bike accessories. But it also has a great selection of folding bikes. Folding bikes are perfect for those of us with “cozy” apartments and not a whole lot of storage space. They’re also great for those who travel often and need a more portable bike. Fold this baby up and take it on a bus, plane, train…pretty much anywhere you need to go!
As H.G. Wells said, “When I see an adult on a bicycle, I do not despair for the future of the human race.” Let’s save the planet, save our souls, and save some money by investing in a bicycle. No matter your choice of store for your latest green purchase, be sure to stop by 58Coupons first to save more with the latest coupons, discounts, and promo codes for Bike.com, Bob’s Bicycles, and Commuter Bike Store. Have I mentioned that biking is a great workout as well? I could go on forever about the benefits of bicycling, so why don’t you just go out and get your new bike today?
