Where There’s a Will There’s a Way: Jewelry for the Whole Body

We as a species have always been fascinated with jewelry—or more specifically, the shiny stones that we fashion into jewelry—so it’s no surprise really that we went from simple necklaces and earrings to jewelry for every part of the body.  Or just about.

There’s a part of me that wishes I’d been gutsy enough to get my belly button or eyebrow pierced back in the day, but considering that requires constant crunches and a certain shape of face to pull off, I know I would’ve gotten lazy.  And if I had a pretty belly button ring collection I would feel obligated to show it off, and well—the thought isn’t pretty!

That’s not to say that body piercings on the whole aren’t appealing.  In fact, some of my very good friends have the perfect bodies or faces to pull off some of the more esoteric piercings.  Frankly, I’m jealous.  So to live vicariously through them (and to get a heads up for possible birthday gifts), I decided to ask around and see where they liked to stock up on cute body jewelry.

My personal favorite—not because I know what I’m talking about but purely because I love the name—is BodyCandy.com.  Just looking at their homepage displays a number of pieces that do actually look like candy.  If there was a hole in my belly, I’d definitely go for the bold and beautiful colors that Body Candy offers.  But then again, I’m perfectly happy living vicariously through my pierced friends.  Double ear piercings are enough for me, thanks!

On the other hand, another tattoo might be nice… but I’ll leave that for another day!
