You’re Bacon Me Crazy
I always considered myself a bacon-lover. I understand vegetarian values and I’m all for what they’re about. But, I can’t help it. I love me some meat and I’m a firm believer that everything is better with bacon. A bacon cheeseburger. A turkey pesto panini with bacon. And always the classic: pancakes, bacon, and eggs.
I had no idea there are others out there who are far superior in their bacon loving than I until I came across Bacon Freak. These bacon connoisseurs have recipes for such delights as bacon-wrapped salmon, bacon maple custard pie, and the simple, yet delicious-sounding chocolate-covered bacon. Who knew you could do so much with one little piece of meat?
Bacon Freak began simply with a bacon-of-the-month club. It’s now grown into a website devoted to everything bacon, with not just one but five different monthly clubs. Plus, for those of us who can never quite make up our minds (ahem, maybe it’s just me…), you can get a sampler of any of the monthly clubs to act as your gateway into the world of bacon.
For a little more fun with bacon, check out Bacn.com. Here, you’ll find such wonderful novelties as a bacon-scented candle, bacon wallet, and (my personal favorite) bacon bubble gum. Just be sure to keep those gums healthy with some bacon floss, and keep your waistband in check with a bacon belt. Bacon can now literally be in every aspect of your life. You’ll never lack for bacon again.
Unsure what to do with all this bacon? Check out Bacn.com’s “How To” section. You can find some great tips for cooking with bacon. In fact, I learned how to make a fantastic BLT with this video.
And just when you think things couldn’t get any better, I found a video with instructions on the correct way to store and freeze your bacon so your future self can enjoy the deliciousness that is bacon, as well.
